Rule of thumb does sadly depict that if the parents are unhealthy, and over weight that the kids will follow down the same path, so for fit kids think about yourselves and how your lifestyle is and lead by example and have a healthy fit family.
Go to the park, get out and about doing activities as a family, if possible aim to reach 5x 1hr activities each week, take the family out for a coastal walk, over the local hills, visit a working farm or zoo where you have to walk around to see the attraction, before you know it you will be doing regular exercise without even realising it.
Pop to your local park, kick a ball a bout as a family, maybe a bit of badminton, or cricket. Anything that will get you out and active as a family.

- Playground games like tig and stick in the mud
- Sporting activities
- Cycling
- Skipping
