Jeremy Corbyn – A Threat To The National Security Of The United Kingdom
As a Tory supporter, much as I’m happy for now that Corbyn is leader of the Labour Party which really seems to be doing more damage than good to his party, I feel like many others that he should step down as not only leader of the main opposition party, but also from politics as a whole… He’s nothing more than a tree hugging hippy of a by gone era and a danger to our security.
He’s a longstanding anti-war and anti-nuclear activist, Corbyn supports a foreign policy of military non-intervention and a unilateral policy of nuclear disarmament. Corbyn is also a member of CND – Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and was the national chair of the Stop the War Coalition from June 2011 until September 2015.
Corbyn has been regularly seen siding and sympathising with terrorist organisations and supporters. He campaigned in support of releasing terrorists Jawad Botmeh and Samar Alami who were responsible for the 1994 bombing of the Israeli Embassy in London even though they were caught possessing explosives, guns and bomb making handbooks.
Corbyn has also been a long-standing supporter of a United Ireland so even along with Ken Livingston invited Gerry Adams and other members of Sinn Fein and PIRA to Westminster and into Parliament in 1984 and even tried to set up a second meeting in 1996 which had to be cancelled with pressure from the Labour Party.
Corbyns irresponsibility in inviting terrorists into the Palace of Westminster in 1984, didn’t just stop with the meeting itself, Corbyn and Livingston were called in for questioning by the chief whip when it was found that one of the members of the terrorist group Sinn Fein which belonged to the IRAs ruling Army Council were also left unattended for around 20mins in the palace which seriously breached Commons rules.
This showed total naivety of so called MPs who failed to make the connection between Sinn Fein and the IRA.
Jeremy Corbyn to this day still refuses to condemn the IRA for terrorist atrocities and has been accused of ‘insulting’ the victims of the IRA after refusing to condemn the group. In a radio interview with BBC Radio Ulster refused three times to directly condemn the IRA, instead highlighting Bloody Sunday and the role of the British Army during the conflict, and also observed a minute’s silence in 1987 for eight IRA members killed by the SAS in an ambush.
After members of ISIS carried out the attacks in Paris in November 2015, Corbyn suggested that the only way to deal with the threat by the terrorist group would be to start political peace talks with them and refused to support airstrikes in Syria.
Corbyns views on foreign affairs and defence makes him to many a pacifist, something he denies, however opposing violence and war has been the backbone of his political life. He prominently opposed war in Iraq and Afghanistan, military strikes against Assad’s Syria, and military action against ISIS, and served as the chair of the Stop the War Coalition and has no problem in handing over the Falkland Islands to the Argentinians.
Corbyns has also taken the stance that we should talk to militant/terrorist groups such as ISIS and ludicrously believes that it’s the only way to peace in the Middle East. And calls members of Hamas and Hezbollah “friends”
Corbyn has called for the lifting of sanctions as part of a negotiated full settlement of issues concerning the Iranian nuclear programme, and the starting of a political process to decommission Israel’s nuclear arsenal. Even though this would give Iran plenty of opportunity to finance further their nuclear program.
In April 2014, Corbyn wrote an article for the Morning Star attributing the crisis in Ukrain to NATO.
Corbyn’s views on Ukraine, Russia, and NATO were criticised by a number of groups and individuals, including Halya Coynash of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group.
Lithuanian ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė disagreed with Corbyn’s portrayal of NATO, saying her country was not “forced or lured into NATO as part of an American global power grab. We were pounding on the door of the alliance, demanding to be let in”.
If Corbyn had his own way he would pull the UK out of NATO and dismantle our armed forces.
Corbyn as part of his anti-war campaigning has shared a platform with a number of anti-Semites and Holocaust deniers! these included Paul Eisen, a Holocaust denier, Raed Salah, who has been accused of “virulent anti-Semitism”, and the Muslim extremist Dyab Abou Jahjah.
Replacing Trident would be a costly mistake. This is the belief of CND member, Corbyn, who opposes the replacement of Britain’s Trident nuclear weapons system, which wouldn’t just take away our nuclear deterrent, but also cost the country 11,000 jobs. Corbyns answer to the question would he press the button if needed, he said he wouldn’t, something widely criticised even by members of his own party. He said defence chiefs would be under instructions not to use nuclear weapons if he was Prime Minister.
Finally if that all wasn’t enough for getting rid of Corbyn from politics, was his total disregard for our country and its monarchy with his total disrespect for the Queen by refusing to kneel to the Queen at the at the Privy Council ceremony.
Corbyn also refused to sing the national anthem at the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain service, starting off with total disrespect in his first public engagement since becoming leader of Labour Party.
Now I’m not religious in any way shame or form, but I respect and honour the royal family and would never not sing it because of it mentioning God, but corbyns disrespect for our monarchy is disgusting and more reason for him to stand down as an MP let alone being leader of a party.
Corbyns also believes that the State Opening of Parliament by the Queen should be abolished and the monarchy dissolved, making Britain a Republic, and only steps back from fighting for his belief because of the huge popularity the Royal Family lighting his total lack of being in touch with the country.
Everything Corbyn stands for and what he has done has proven time and time again he is not fit to lead a political party let alone lead a country!
