Mike Buss Chosen to Become Operation Commando Ambassador
Mike Buss was this week made Ambassador for The Royal Marines Associations latest fundraising challenge ‘Operation Commando’

Gather a team of four friends and join Mike Buss (World Record Breaking Endurance Athlete) & The Royal Marines for a weekend at Bluestone National Park resort in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Serving members of the Royal Marines, volunteers from the Royal Marines Association and Commando 999 are joining forces to host a weekend for the public which will raise funds for former servicemen.

Mike has been chosen to become Ambassador for this event and to captain two teams who Mike has picked from members of his BOOTCAMP Company ‘BOOTCAMPfit’ which has become not only a success in his home town of Swindon with nearly 200members, but has also frachised out across the South of the country in London and Winchester, with more sites opening soon.
Mike is a former Soldier who served for 10yrs with the Royal Green Jackets and who also served as an Army Physical Training Instructor, but an IRA Car Bomb cut short Mike’s Career when he was nearly killed, but his injuries which left him partially deaf and medically discharged from the Army.
After entering civvy street, Mike found it dificult to adjust and spent 6months on the streets of London before getting himself together and becoming a professional endurance athlete, breaking 47 world endurance records and using his world record breaking challenges to raise money for numerous Armed Forces Charities. In the last 8yrs Mike has raised over £250,000 for Charity.
