NOT SO Sport Relief | World Record Charity Challenge

Mike Buss, Swindon’s own world record breaking endurance athlete is ready for his next challenge, but this time it doesn’t involve an ounce of exercise, this time he is going to sit watching TV for 6days…

That’s right; Mike is attempting the world record for the longest TV Marathon, to watch DVDs back to back to break the current world record of 5days and 21mins.  Mike starts the world record attempt on Monday 19^th March and is aiming to go right through to Saturday 24^th, breaking the world record by one day.

Mike is raising money for the BBC Sport Relief and due to the nature of the world record Mike came up with a pun on words by calling it the Not So Sport Relief Challenge. 

Local and nationally known companies are involved supporting the event including the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village (swindon) where the event is taking place along with John Lewis Home Outlet, Cafe Mattia, The Energy Kitchen (all based in the Swindon Designer Outlet), Johnsons Cars of Swindon, Swindon Web & Infinite8 Productions.

Mike is hoping to raise £100 per day with a total of £600 and is inviting anyone who would like to try 24hrs to get sponsored for any of the days during the event.

John Lewis will be displaying a living room set up where Mike will attempt to spend 6days infront of the TV.  The Energy Kitchen will be supplying Mike with all his drinks and Cafe Mattia will be providing Mike with Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.

Johnsons Cars are also helping with the logistical set up of Mikes Record Attempt.
