WR | Fastest 10km on Road Carrying 120lbs Pack
London Marathon Apr 2004. Time: 1hr 7mins 4 secs.
Mike’s plan was to break the 10km, 10 mile, half marathon and full marathon times, but this would be Mike’s first look at not succeeding to break a World Record!
Mike reached just short of the half way stage of the marathon but had to pull out of the race and be taken away by ambulance after an injury on route caused Mike to have to stop.
Mike had passed the Cutty Sark and upon reaching the next drinks station onlookers were kicking empty water bottles about, unfortunately one of these got in the way of Mike and as he stepped on one these bottles Mike fell and hit the ground heavily under the weight of his 120lb (8 stone) pack.
Mike bravely carried on determined to complete the marathon course but the injury got too much!
Mike completed the 10km – 10mile and Half Marathon Distances breaking each world record, but had to pull out short of the full marathon distance.

You didn’t really start this marathon did you ????
To the author of this comment who decides to hide behind the internet an not give real name or contact and feels compelled to spurt crap they have no knowledge about… I did start this marathon, I state also I didnt finish this marathon, I reached just past the half way mark breaking the 10km, 10mile and 1/2marathon records.
So yes I started it but did not finish it.
Give it a go if you think you are hard enough and man enough to do it!
