Your Body Explained Simply
Your body is an amazing machine! It has lots of different parts that work closely together to make it possible for you to live and grow.
- Your brain is at the centre of this and controls your whole body.
- As you breathe, you take in oxygen needed for your whole body.
- Your digestive system takes in the food we eat and turns it into energy.
- Your nerves receive sense messages from all over your body and send messages to your muscles, telling them what to do.
- Muscles are responsible for every movement you make.
- Your skeleton supports and protects your body.
- Your heart pumps non-stop, every minute of every day and pushes blood around your body. The blood carries oxygen and food goodness.
